Out of sight out of mind...

Long time no hear from me...consistently anyway.  Between having a new baby & well, hell that's enough, I just can't seem to find the time to blog on a consistent basis.  I can't find time for the hair salon, nail salon, hangout with friends, or even eat a decent meal or sleep sometimes either.  So cut me some slack!  Parenting can be one of the most rewarding tasks but it's honestly one of the most sacrificial!  I'm in a place where I NEED my blog though.  I need to let off some steam even if it isn't directly releasing some of the bottled up adult energy on my keyboard may be just what I need.  After all, my mind is constantly in motion.  I can't even keep up with my own thoughts.  I need to blog or at least be on here reading what everyone else is writing to get my mind off stuff.  So yeah, consider me back on the blogosphere circuit.  Outside of diapers, weaning from breastfeeding, looking to go back to work, start a business, planning a first birthday, and soothing sore teething gums, not much else is going on with me...so if nothing else I'll be reading and commenting.  I miss you people!

Lacquered

I turned 25 on December 7th....YAAAAAYYY, FIST PUMP, YAAAAAY, RAISE THE ROOF!!! LOL, so of course I had to make sure I looked cute!  What girl doesn't?!?  So, my trusty, ever so creative nail tech decided to do a fashion/Beyonce inspired design on my stiletto nails...HOTNESSSS!!!!!  She and I both LOVED LOVED LOVED the Leonard-Paris black & yellow dress Beyonce had on a couple days before.  So being the Bey Stan I am, of course I obliged to having that design land on NO other hands but mine! The decision was a NO brainer!  It's worth noting that this was my first time getting stiletto nails too.  I'm sooo late to hop on the pointy, rounded nail trend smh.  While I love nail art, I love it on short, square nails or my natural nails.  These were a HIT!! Celeste, my tech, is definitely an extraordinarily creative gem!!! Talent unmatched!

Hair Chronicles: "Mommy Wig"

So, I've had this wig for about a year & I love it more now than I did then.  I'm so glad I discovered wigs!  They are a one time investment & offer incomparable versatility for...years!! My hair is pass shoulder length, but short hair is my beauty guilty pleasure!!! I feel so sassy in this one, and it is my go to wig for protective styling! Yes, I'm enjoying the look without the sacrifice...can.you tell in my pic?? LOL sure beats cutting my natural (literally) tresses & at less than $30, I may even put in highlights and get another!!!

Stay tuned!

How about for THICK or for thin??!?!

I have heard of some outlandish stuff when it comes to customizing prenuptial agreements like so & so should get this lump some of money MORE than what is entitled if the other person cheats, but I was just hipped recently to a new one...the extreme weight clauses.  Yes, weight clauses that were traditionally apart of the contracts of your favorite athletes, maybe models, and actors have now found themselves included in PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS!!  If you gain too much weight, you have to lose it or consider your weight gain and/or reluctance to lose it as my inevitable OUT!!

WHAT THE HELL?!?! Am I the only one just a bit put off by this...for lack of better words...FOOLISHNESS?!?!  Considering we are in the day of husbands/wives for hire and drive through divorces (ahem...Kim K..Eve & Ocho), I just may be.  Forgive me and call me a prude, but I still view marriage in the traditional sense.  A union of love, a ministry, between a man & woman for BETTER OR WORSE, RICH OR POOR, SICKNESS & HEALTHY and yes, all of that includes whether they are big or small!!

I don't want a man that wants me because i'm small, in my prime, young, beautiful.  NO, I want someone that will be around to spoon feed me if I need it, bathe me if I can't do it.  I want someone that will grab a burger with me at Wendy's as well as wine and dine at Prime 112.  I want a man that can appreciate me at my presently, attractive and curvy size 10/12 and will still love on me with stretch marks and a pooch in my size 18s if the day ever comes.

Damn.  Love comes with some killer conditions these days!!  Why call it marriage?  How about we call it "love til further notice".  Maybe relationships should be contractual like cell phones...you can opt out at the end of your two years if I am no longer rich, employed, cute, small, fertile, or eat pasta!  LOL, I'm just saying!  It's getting out of hand.  I wish a fool would present me with some ridiculous clause SMH

The Dating Series: What is Dating? What does it consist of & when does dating become a relationship?

Dating is getting to know someone while enjoying their company on a series of outings & meetings; going to dinner, movies, having picnics, staying up all hours of the day & night on the telephone, etc. The list could go on. Essentially, it's two people enjoying each other's company doing the things they each like to do. The dating phase, pre-relationship is usually about putting your best foot forward & "auditioning" potential mates for the most precious position of "the one". Much like job interviews, people usually look the best, speak their best, and do their absolute best during this phase...because as people we want to be wanted & to feel affection so we want to be THE ONE to land that part, but this part of the dating phase comes back to bite us in the ass during the relationship phase when we've stopped looking, speaking, and doing our best...& turning into someone completely unknown to our partner *enters problems* ....that's another topic.

The relationship phase of dating doesn't begin until two people have mutually decided & verbally communicated that they are only seeing each other after agreeing that there is a stronger than normal potential for a relationship between them to go the distance...whatever their distance is...LADIES sex does not make him your man! The start of a relationship must be communicated not assumed & their is NO time constraint on when a relationship should come to be! That is a personal choice between the daters...fast or slow, in dating, best practice is to COMMUNICATE & HAVE FUN!

**Quote of the day**

"Pretty is as pretty does but beautiful is just plain beautiful"

Pretty is a surface thing...aesthetic & shallow, but to be beautiful is to illuminate from the inside with one's soul, intellect, and disposition...well, to me anyway.  Just my opinion of this quote.  To simply be pretty isn't enough. Every woman should seek to be beautiful...ppl remember & love trur beauty!
