& The Nobel Peace Prize goes to......(HISTORICAL MOMENT)

I am so happy right now for President Obama. At a time when he seems to be getting nothing but a hard time from law makers and not enough support from constituents, he has managed to do the honorable, that is; roll up his sleeves, hold his head up high and do his VERY BEST to get the job done. I couldn't let such a moment in history occur and not blog about it!!! My personal affairs, entertainment news and everything else WILL HAVE TO STEP ASIDE!!! My president, President Barack H. Obama is the recipient for the 2009 Nobel Peace Price!!!!! HE WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED AS ONE OF THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE AWARD. The President accepted the honorable award by saying, among other things that he is "...surprised and deeply humbled." The choice of President Obama could not have been an easy one to make as the Nobel Committee had a record number 172 people nominated for the award!!! HOWEVER, IT WAS A CHOICE THEY MADE!!!!! ONE THAT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY AND EVEN MORE PROUD TO BE AFRICAN AMERICAN, AN OBAMA SUPPORTER AND SUPPORTER OF A MORE PEACEFUL WORLD!!!!

The Following Quotes were said about the President and his Nobel Peace Prize win (CNN.com):
"The Nobel committee recognized Obama's efforts to solve complex global problems including working toward a world free of nuclear weapons."

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said."

"His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population," it said."

The Weather is beautiful, it's payday, i'm healthy, All is well and happy & the President just won the Nobel Peace Prize.....I'd say that's an awesome start to the weekend!!!!!!

Even more interesting is the nominating process and selection process of the Nobel Peace Prize candidates and winners....Makes me even more proud that President Obama won!! Click here to read more about the selection process http://http//nobelprize.org/nomination/
