LAQUERED!!!!

I love nail art and innovation!!! I stilll haven't tried the minx due to bad reviews by nail techs and customers but I recently have found my new home for glueing, lacquering and acrylic overlaying!!! The best part is the young lady who did my nails is Black. NOOOOO, I don't have anything against any other race of people but I like supporting people within my community!!! She did her thing bloggers, right off the top of her head and the colors are so RIGHT* SO ME** SO PRETTY. So I gotta a Blackberry....

I "lost" my phone the other day while in the midst of mayhem after the JayZ concert in B-More and couldn't deal with being excommunicated from the world so I finally upped my game & ordered a Blackberry. I ordered the Blackberry Tour 9630 from Sprint....I'm used to touchscreen so i'm a little restless with the lack thereof on the Blackberry but am anxious to see what has Blackberry owners so addicted, you know the untimely addiction of the "Crackberry!"

Why is it called the Crackberry??

I mean I think my other phone was quite efficient when it wasn't freezing and doing what the hell it wanted to....The Camera on this phone is SICK!!!!

DAMN straight I had to find this shoe in PINK. This would have been HOTT for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.....I wonder if I can find it to buy for my birthday. I love the simple elegance of this shoe!!!! So glad Louboutin is the new official shoe for Sex in the City!!!!!!!!!!!

I just ordered my Halloween costume from the 3wishes website!!!! I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years BUT this year is different, I'm pressed too!!! The Christian in me refuses to be anything evil so i've chosen to be a virgin bride, with a HUGE DIAMOND!!! Halloween will be extra fun this year so I figure why not participate? OK so my range of celebrity crushes range from the likes of the RIPPED Terrell Owens, Ball player Dwight Howard, the street smart corporation that is JayZ and NOW @ the top of the list Lance Gross!! Eva has got a gem on her arm. I like them on the darker side medium brown skin to dark BUT for some reason I only attract lightskin guys!! I only remember one of my exes being brown skin. I have always thought Lance was handsome and he is the ONLY reason I watch that Tyler Perry tv show but DAMN, my jaw dropped when I saw his new pics; definitely had me thinking some things and feeling some type of way.

Contagious Peace....

I have ranted on and on about great of a year I was having. I realize that not everyone can attest to 2009 being such a good year for them BUT what I do realize is, that all of us can do our part to be infectious at enabling someone else to end the year happily, at peace and smiling. Moods, attitudes, personalities or the lack thereof can be contagious/infectious just like the common cold, swine flu or anything else and kill anything positive that is about to, can or should happen involving us. It is important to start every day with the intention to do positive things, think positively, surround oneself with positive personalities that exude love and care for us. Even after a not so unfortunate (argument, fight, let down, bad news) event.

CALM DOWN & FOCUS ON THE MANY THINGS THAT DID NOT GO WRONG, COULD GO WRONG** Be thankful for the blessings that have been bestowed upon yourself and realize that your situation can ALWAYS be worst. So live happily!!!! Do the things you love with the people you love, GET RID OF NEGATIVE CATALYST (they mean NO good) and ALWAYS, ALWAYS be optimistic and thankful for the GOOD things**

If nothing else, be thankful for LIFE!!! Work hard to keep your personal peace still**

UPDATE: Real Housewives of DC!!!!

Okay, so not many of you know about my earlier post about Bravo's Real Housewives series coming to DC. I have an update on the DC part of the popular series. The Real Housewives of DC was set to start filming Friday September 18, 2009 BUT there aren't any women of "color" included in the cast!!!!!!!! WHAT?!? You mean to tell me that with the two most powerful women in this city being African American women there were NO African American, Latina, Native American, Asian women to add to the lineup??? I am sooo disappointed in this I mean dang...did anyone place a call to Michelle Obama, or Mrs. Fenty (wife of DC mayor Adrian Fenty)????? Now, of course with DC being so small the casting of the series was open to women in the surrounding areas of Maryland and Virginia. STILL not ONE woman of color!!! NOT ONE African American woman....ugh!!!

So far at least 3 women have been outted to be Real Housewives of DC cast members: Lynda Erkiletian (ownere of The Artist Agency, DC modeling firm), Mary Amons (wife of capitalist Rich Amons) Michaele Salahi (wife of Fauquier County winery owner Tareq Salahi). That is 3 out of the 5....Hopefully they'll place some color/chocolate in there somewhere to represent CHOCOLATE CITY!!! I was excited when I found out my favorite tv series was coming to DC BUT not so much when I heard of the lack of diversity they were watering the city down with!!!!

The weekend...

So, this weekend I was supposed to get a complete makeover. Well, things didn't exactly happen that way. I did get my hair done and it looks fab if I may say so myself. As for the minx (nails) I didn't get around to that. I'm a little cautious about going that route because i'm hearing from a couple of ladies that they begin to peel. Maybe that's a result of poor skill of the person who put theirs on, but as with anything new one has to question if that's just a con to the new item. I have seen some cute minx and was looking to get plain black and silver for my nails but @ $45-$50 a whop I don't need peeling. Maybe i'll just stick to my regular adventures of regular, drawn on nail art. I DIDN'T GET TO SEE CHRIS ROCK'S GOOD HAIR EITHER** My hairstylist's boo is in town so we'll just wait til he's gone to sip wine and look at black women chat about the dos dont's and rules of BLACK HAIR** DID ANYONE SEE IT? WHAT DID YOU THINK?? I did manage to go shopping and if there is any question to whether the recession is ending just take the asker to the mall....IT WAS PACKED THIS WEEKEND!!!! I didn't get much for myself besides some work clothes but what in the HAM SANDWICH was I smokin' to buy my not yet 15 year old brother $400 Prada High Tops** I have never spent that much money on any thing that wasn't for me but I pride myself on being giving as I am anything but a selfish biotch and suppose that was the reason I had $400 to just spend on sneakers for someone else....GIVE PEOPLE WITH AN OPEN HEART!!!!

I said all of that to say I enjoyed my weekend EVEN THOUGH all my goals weren't accomplished. However, if anyone has seen GOOD HAIR, tell me how you liked it and for those that haven't tried the minx, I will let you know ASAP how I like them when I get them. OMG!!! BET IS BRINGING BACK THE GAME***

I hate BET but I LOVE "The Game"!!!!! The characters of that show are so true to life and easy to relate to!!! I mean minus the baby mama drama and the cheating (THANK GOD) my last relationship definitely mirrored that of Melanie and Derwin's. by the way "Derwin" made my heart melt this weekend!! It's always the great, black shows that get cut off the air first. I rushed home just to see reruns of the show from 2007 so I can't wait for new episodes to come on....YAY!!!! I'm so glad BET has chosen to stand up for Black Television and show quality programming!!!! CONGRATS TO BET AND THE CAST OF THE GAME**

I am so happy right now for President Obama. At a time when he seems to be getting nothing but a hard time from law makers and not enough support from constituents, he has managed to do the honorable, that is; roll up his sleeves, hold his head up high and do his VERY BEST to get the job done. I couldn't let such a moment in history occur and not blog about it!!! My personal affairs, entertainment news and everything else WILL HAVE TO STEP ASIDE!!! My president, President Barack H. Obama is the recipient for the 2009 Nobel Peace Price!!!!! HE WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED AS ONE OF THE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE AWARD. The President accepted the honorable award by saying, among other things that he is "...surprised and deeply humbled." The choice of President Obama could not have been an easy one to make as the Nobel Committee had a record number 172 people nominated for the award!!! HOWEVER, IT WAS A CHOICE THEY MADE!!!!! ONE THAT MAKES ME VERY HAPPY AND EVEN MORE PROUD TO BE AFRICAN AMERICAN, AN OBAMA SUPPORTER AND SUPPORTER OF A MORE PEACEFUL WORLD!!!!

I read an article on the web this week about a guy who quit his Federal Government job so that he could follow his passion and blog for a living. He was making just shy of six figures annually BUT his heart wasn't in his job. He now blogs and receives donations and contributions as a result of his HUGE following. Actually 99% of his funding reportedly comes from advertisings!!!! Pretty good huh??? I KNOW I would do something like this if I could or the opportunity presented itself....WOULD YOU????

I LOVE perfume!!! My dresser is covered with Delicate Petals from Vicky Secrets, Armani's Diamonds, Gucci by Gucci, P.S I love you by Bath & Body Works, Irresistable by Givenchy and the list GOES ON FAR BEYOND YOUR INTEREST!!! Anywho, Kim Kardashian's long awaited fragrance is finally getting ready to hit stores (you know the one behind the reason she and her sisters fell out over on the show and they threatened to sue her, yea that one!!!) The fragrance, and result of a deal that Kim K. has with Lighthouse Beauty. The scent will include hints of Jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, tonka bean, jacaranda wood (whatever that is) and sandalwood. The pricing of the perfume will be around the typical range for popular perfumes between $32 and $65 per bottle. I am a fragrance whore so i'll at least drop by the department store for a sample when it's released but until then idk.....WILL WE BUY IT??? SUNSHINE110 LOL, will we buy it???

MAKE ME OVER!!!

So, I haven't written personal post in a hot one but not that anyone cares, i'm getting a makeover this weekend!! As I mentioned it's Fall and with the changing of the seasons one SHOULD ALWAYS opt for ways to switch things up from the way you did it the last season....so i'm going to the salon this weekend to get new Fall hair, lashes, makeup & nails (GETTING THE MINX), and of course shopping for new extra trendy office attire. Being the youngest in the office automatically equals being the flyest!!! Who knows I may even put a pic up EVEN THOUGH, I swear by not putting a pic up on blogger as I maneuver through my personal keep some things personal, refusal to upload pics to the internet cause I can't control who views, uses them movement even though it's too late and four years of FB use, I DIGRESS, anywho, This will be a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

So, according to Chris Brown's Twitter, he is about to embark upon a small tour of no more than 4000 seater venue out of appreciation of his fans. HE BETTER DO SOMETHING!!!! Chris is taking his sweet time getting back on the music scene and meanwhile, Drake, Jermih, Mario, and Trey Songz are experiencing their own successes with their albums, tours, promos....IS THERE ANY ROOM LEFT FOR CHRIS?? THINK WE'LL GET A CONFESSIONS TYPE ALBUM FROM CHRIS?? In any event i'm happy to see he's moving on with life and continuing his career....2 YAYS FOR CHRIS LOL!!!!

Shyne released...being deported!!!!

Jamal "Shyne" Barrow former Diddy/Bad Boy protege has finally been released from prison from a bid he did as a result of a trial he and the Hip Hop Mogul both faced (but Diddy beat) in 1999. Both men stood trial over a club shooting during the Diddy/J.Lo era. Diddy was represented by Johnny Cochran so it was a given how the trial would turn out for him. However, Shyne wasn't so lucky and has served a ten year sentence in Woodbourne Correctional Facility.

Bad Boy Records was in its Heydey at that time as well as it's Post Biggie Era and Shyne was it's new up and coming star but the felony charges and prison sentence halted his career and probably that of Bad Boy RECORDS. HOWEVER NEWS TO ME, Shyne is a green card toting immigrant from the beautiful country of Belize (his dad is the Prime Minister) and is facing deportation after his release because of his felony rap sheet.

DANG DIDDY!!! I can't say the hip hop world was awaiting Shyne's release BUT a HOTT SINGLE/Album could have been responsible for BadBoy Records GREAT come back of the success the label experienced in the 90s as a result of people's curiosity of Shyne's skills (does he still have it, what does he have to say?).....Anywho, everyone deserves a second chance and I'm glad to see Shyne released!!!!

Sasha Fierce Domination.....

Beyonce Knowles is a daughter, sister, auntie, wife, musician, artist, business woman, designer, performer, award winner & now she is officially BILLBOARD'S WOMAN OF THE YEAR after being named WOMAN OF THE YEAR in August, she officially accepted the award/honor today!! Lady Gaga also received the honor of being Rising Star of the Year...but I digress as I am soo not concerned with her award. I'm happy for Beyonce and can't think of any other woman in the music business or entertainment for that matter, that deserves the honor more!!!! SASHA FIERCE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!! CONGRATS to Beyonce!!!!

NOW it's time for the other female "entertainers" to step their game up because Sasha Fierce is single handedly dominating and monopolizing the fame, fortune, recognition, success in the entertainment industry.....She's my number 1 but dang ladies don't let her sssh*** on you like that....COME BACK RIRI, CIARA!!! Step it up Keri, Letoya...your entertaining days are numbered with Beyonce Knowles crushin' the competition the way she is & whoever they are....LOL

Diddy vs. Hov

I've had this conversation with a number of different people as the subjects but I want to know what the blog world thinks....Who's the biggest boss, bigger/better personality??? Diddy or Hov? Who's really runnin' NY???
Hip Hop has two major players right now; Diddy & Hov however as a matter of respect, we must recognize the fact that these two men are at different places in the game right now BUT there isn't anyone that could rival their success & influence as it relates to the hip hop generation. These two men, Diddy & Hov BOTH have the cars, money, women, name, status, hail from NY and sit at the top of the hip hop world, as co kings but are they really co-kings.

As for myself, I am a Jay fan and believe that NOONE can see Jay lyrically, stylistically, in realness. However, my others i've spoken with would refer back to Diddy's Bad Boy days as Puff Daddy when BIG, Mase, Total, Mary J, Jodeci were runnin and topping the charts BUT that was then and THIS IS NOW!!!

Jay without a doubt has forced Hip Hop to grow up by abandoning the baggy street clothes going for a more clean, polished look (enters the "button up"), has managed to consistently top the charts without demeaning women and bragging of possessions. Shaun Carter also walks with a swagger as real YET as commanding of a corporate giant, as he, himself, is a corporation. HE HAS THE HOTTEST CHIK IN THE GAME. Hov has lead a movement with the Roc (we all have held up the roc), we all wore something rocawear, bought a JayZ album, probably couldn't buy Christol but refused to drink it if we could, and know that at any moment JayZ can single handedly END any trend & in my opinion even end a trend started by Diddy, LOL ask TPAIN, and has turned the normal sports club/lounge into an upscale party experience!!!

Diddy's had his share of women ventures, and success as well and lets all face it Diddy and J-Lo set the BLUEPRINT for what was to come with JayZ and Beyonce being the original.

IN love with the curves....

I am so excited to see the entertainment industry opening its arms to women, real WOMEN with voluptuous, feminine curves!!!! For so long the thin not so curvy woman was the standard of beauty & having a little extra booty, breast, legs wasn't beauty but fat....FAT!!!! I even witnessed Pam Anderson call Beyonce fat on television once and she's not she just CURVY!!!! I'm a curvy gal with a figure somewhere in between the hourglass/pear shapes and I LOVE MY BODY TYPE!!! Although it can be hard to find clothing, It's EXXTRA SEXXY in most clothing items. Sometimes the extra umph is unwanted but should be appreciated nonetheless. I love my figure and enjoy shopping for form fitting fits to show it off as I think all women should!!! I am a little biased toward women with cuvier figures because I am one and we've been hated on furiously by public and not so public personalities. VOLUPTUOUS WOMEN RUN ISH***

So I love my city, I bleed Washington, DC but every now and then I get a yurning to go to the Big Apple....I LOVE NEW YORK!! I have lots of friends in the "runway" state lol thanks to college, the shopping is amazing, and I love how diverse it is...idk when I want to go though, it needs to be soon!!! I want to go one day and do some real tourist-y things like take the Sex In the City Bus tour, visit the statue of liberty....Anybody know of any hott parties comin up in NY or Halloween parties? That might be a good time to go. What are the hottest shoe shopping spots in NY?????

Rihanna is without a doubt a Goddess of Style!!! Her music is hott, she single-handedly had almost ALL of us chopping our hair off then weaving back up to keep up with her ever changing hair, she looks flawless on every red carpet and BREAKS ALL THE RULES!!!!
