Breastfeeding...I want to stop!!

OMG! Look at my one breast in the pic!  It's the only side I still nurse my now one year old princess on after my surgery on the other breast this past summer.  Yeah, I had surgery on my right breast because I had a severely plugged duct that got so bad 8 ounces of pus was trapped inside that breast. I didn't nurse on that one at that time, and after surgery, while my womb healed, I never went back to nursing on that side.
Anywho, the little darling was about 4 months back then.  She just turned one yesterday and this mommy is ready to take back her breasts!!!  It's extremely hard though especially as I lay here in bed with my right breasts looking like an alien, with nausea, and a slight headache.  I'm sure the last two symptoms are a direct result of my refusal to nurse because I generally don't experience headaches nor nausea.
I can see this is going to be an experience.  I feel guilty too though, because the little miss still, very much, wants to nurse but sheeeeeesh!!! She has 5 teeth, is walking, talking, playing, eating regular food...nursing has become a bit burdensome!   So now I'm up in the middle of the night blogging this contemplating waking her up to nurse even though I've succeeded in not allowing her to nurse since about 11:40am yesterday!  Terrible I know! I NEED some willpower QUICK!  I don't want to nurse, but I do want to relax, get a good night's sleep, and feel better.  Idk...I'll hold off as long as possible.  The thought of only nursing in the night to ween isn't a bad one neither.  I'm a girl about my sleep so something has to give!!

Hi Tora! I just stopped by your blog to respond to that extremely sweet message you left on my blog back in February! I didn't even see it until a couple months ago, lol. Anyway, thanks so much for your kinds words. I hope all is great with you and your beautiful little Princess! It's really a blessing to be a Mommy and I know you're a great one. It's amazing how different our lives are now. One day we'll have to sit down over a glass of wine and catch up on everything. Though distant now, the memories of our friendship will always be some of my favorites. God bless sweetie. -Nicole
